Not every gravel or beach frame uses the same axle spacing. If yours is Boost (15×110 front / 12×148 rear), the SandStone Boost gives you the same 9th Wave SandStone platform, matched to your frame.
The rim is 52mm deep and 37mm internal, hookless and rated for tires from 40mm up to 66mm: enough width for real tire support and grip, whether that’s a fast gravel loop or a sandy beach start. DT Swiss 350 Boost hubs and brass nipples are a deliberate combination: brass resists corrosion, which matters if the coast is ever part of your riding, and it’s just as reliable on dry trails where it never sees salt at all.
The ART asymmetric rim design keeps spoke tension even front and rear, so the wheel holds its shape under load. 28 Alpina Ultralite aero spokes front and rear complete a wheelset that weighs 1536g.
Hand built in the Netherlands, and once you register your wheels, the carbon rims are covered for life. Curious what beach racing specifically asks of a wheel? Read more in our journal article. Running a standard 12×100 / 12×142 frame instead of Boost? The SandStone shares this same rim. Riding a frame built for 32 inch wheels?
